Join is pleased to have gained Dr. Sven von Alemann, an experienced in-house lawyer and legal tech entrepreneur, as Head of Legal Tech and General Counsel. With his many years of experience, Sven will continue to drive forward the development of legal tech solutions like LEDOX365 and strengthen our market presence and sales in the legal tech sector.
At the same time, he will further expand the legal function at Join as General Counsel. Most recently, as Senior Manager at KPMG Law, he advised legal departments on legal tech and legal operations.
Dr. Sven von Alemann joins Join from KPMG Law
Sven is a lawyer and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in legal advice and legal tech. After working for several years at the major law firm McDermott Will & Emery and in the legal departments of technology companies and start-ups, including as Legal Counsel at Fujitsu and Senior Legal Counsel at SAP Hybris, he founded rfrnz GmbH with two partners in 2017.
As CEO, he built rfrnz, a platform for the automated analysis of contracts for lawyers with the help of artificial intelligence. The multi-award-winning company was financed with more than 1 million euros in venture capital and grew to 14 employees. From 2021 to early 2023, he was then Senior Manager at KPMG Law in the Legal Operations & Technology Services team. Sven regularly publishes and speaks on innovation and new technologies in the legal market. He holds a PhD from the University of Hanover, an LL.M. from the University of Canterbury (NZ) and an Executive MBA from the Technical University of Munich.
