The German Legal Tech Summit in Hanover in 2025 once again impressively demonstrated that legal tech is no longer a vision of the future, but a central component of modern legal and business processes. The event provided a high-quality platform for exchange between experts from the fields of law, technology, business and public administration. And LEDOX365 was actively represented with several content contributions.
Legal tech on the rise: From ‘if’ to ‘how’
The summit made it clear that the industry has moved beyond discussing potential changes. The focus today is clearly on implementation, on how modern technologies can be meaningfully integrated and how organisations can successfully shape this transformation.
The diversity of participants, ranging from lawyers and developers to investors and legal operations professionals, underscores how broadly the topic is now anchored. Special thanks go to the organisers around Dr Benedikt M. Quarch, Dietmar Neidig, Jörg Offenhausen and, in particular, Daniela Engelke and Pia Luna Horender, who created a remarkably diverse and professional programme.
Engagement in the Young Professional Board
Alexander Gröger and LEDOX365 were once again represented on the Young Professional Board, which works in an interdisciplinary, practice-oriented and forward-looking manner. The board consists of founders, developers, scientists and lawyers with a common goal: not only to discuss legal tech, but to actively develop it further and design innovative formats for the next generation.
Programme highlights with LEDOX365
LEDOX365 worked on several initiatives and programme items, receiving consistently positive feedback from the community. The team was involved in several key sessions and was able to contribute its expertise in contract lifecycle management and modern legal processes:
- Conference opening: As part of the official opening, the Young Professional Committee, led by Alexander Gröger, set the tone for two days of innovation and exchange, emphasising the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Presentation: Success factors for cooperation between IT and legal departments: In this presentation, Alexander highlighted how crucial the close integration of law and IT is for modern organisations and how technological solutions such as LEDOX365 support this cooperation in a structured, secure and scalable manner.
- Masterclass with DATEV and LEDOX365: A special highlight were the two two-hour masterclasses by DATEV and LEDOX365, who jointly organised a skill camp. The focus was on best practices and specific use cases for modern contract lifecycle and matter management. The high level of interest underscored the increasing relevance of standardised, automated and collaborative contract processes.
- Sessions on legal tech careers and new legal leadership: Additional panels with experts such as Nina-Marie Luckhaupt, Willy Kleinoth, Carolin Kothe, Jutta Löwe, Anna von Troschke, Dennis R. Jlussi and Alexander Gröger offered valuable insights into the requirements of modern legal departments, new skill profiles and future-oriented leadership models.
High-level networking and dialogue
The German Legal Tech Summit offered numerous opportunities for structured exchange with colleagues, partners and interested parties. The discussions clearly showed that legal tech is in a phase of professionalisation. It is characterised by a strong focus on implementation, growing interdisciplinarity and increasing expectations in terms of efficiency, compliance and automation. We are very pleased about the various discussions on use cases in companies with LEDOX365.
